The Recommended Agency Register (RAR) is unique in the marketing sector for being driven by referrals and testimonials from clients and marketing professionals who are the end-users of agency services. RAR uses online research to tap into the power of the marketing community to find out which agencies come recommended, allowing business to make an informed choice of agency. The organisation has been identifying the very best agencies using client feedback since 2004, so being listed is an accolade in itself. Protean has been a RAR-listed agency for two years but this is the first time the company has been nominated in the annual RAR awards.
“We are delighted with the nominations, and excited that we are contenders in no less than five categories,” says Protean marketing MD Greg Robinson. “We view our RAR accreditation as a sign of our proven marketing prowess but the award nominations take that one stage further, especially as they are polled automatically from genuine client and industry professional recommendations,” Robinson adds.
RAR collects 5000 client ratings each year, with clients assessing agencies on their skill at specific marketing disciplines. Each February, the ratings are downloaded from the system and analysed by the RAR team. The top-10 scoring agencies in each category are then shortlisted as finalists for the awards. Protean Marketing has been nominated for awards in Advertising, Brand Strategy, Direct Marketing, Integrated Marketing and Corporate Communications “All the nominations are a testament to our ability and to our clients’ satisfaction, which is rewarding in itself. However, we are particularly pleased with our nomination for Integrated Marketing as this pulls together all the marketing disciplines and is where we excel,” claims Robinson.
As one industry observer noted: ‘Only the best agencies make the RAR list. Not the richest. Not the ones with the most friends. Or the ones who pick up the most lunch tabs. Just those who are quite simply the best at what they do.’
